n1208539720_30316466_28142James Ratemo is an alumni of the International Institute of Journalism (Germany) and Commonwealth Press Union (UK). His background includes a Bachelor of  Arts Degree in Communication and Media Technolgy (Electronic media Option) from Maseno University with a strong leaning on multimedia and online journalism.  He also holds  a Masters in Arts (Communication studies) from the University of Nairobi.

He has specilaised training in online and multimedia journalism from International Institute for Journalism, Commonwealth Press Union and Internews.

A progressive online editor, technology and business writer, his work revolves around how emerging technology interacts with business and the environment. Apart from freelancing, he also worked as a digital media trainer and consultant  at Internews Kenya, an international NGO that empowers journalists with various skills. Before  joining Internews he worked for the Nation Media Group as reporter, online subeditor (Daily Nation, Business daily, The East African) and as an online editor (NTV) after four years at the Standard Media Group (www.standardmedia.co.ke) in Kenya as a multimedia  journalist and blogs on Technology in Kenya.

He currently works as head of Communication at the Media Council of Kenya

His hobbies: poetry, reading, singing (gospel) and acting.

      Just start and ideas will flow. Blogging is as easy as ABC but one majoe thing you should know: Content is King and you must let the world know your blog exists. That you can do via facebook, twitter and email
