Smart printing with HP’s Deskjet 3050 All–in-one

With advances in wireless technology printing has been made fun, cost effective and convenient.
This is especially necessary when operating in a home, a cyber café where many computers are involved and many customers print from different desktops.

“One of the challenges facing technology service providers is to provide portable tools and mobile services that enable knowledge workers to easily plug into the existing IT infrastructure and business processes without creating additional layers of complexity and cost,” Vincent Vanderpoel, Vice President & General Manager IPG LaserJet and Enterprise Solutions, Europe, Middle East and Africa.

But better one is the e-all-in-one printer

With the HP’s Deskjet 3050, Printing, Scanning and Copying of documents no longer needs intensive investment in cables.
It not only prints photos that exceed lab quality, it also scans and copies, so it’s perfect for your documents and old photos too.
Setup is straightforward and offers a single-button connection, if your wireless router supports it. Otherwise, you have to enter a pass code on a connected computer to complete the link.

The two cartridges, black and tri-colour, slide in and clip up into their respective holders and software for Windows or OS X installs from the supplied CD. There’s a copy of HP’s Photo Creations available for download, too, which gives you basic photo manipulations and print-based projects. Pre-programmed forms for home office and leisure are available directly from the control panel.
With this printer, there is no need for extensive cabling to connect all the available computers . All you need is a wireless connectivity that pair the involved computers with the printer.
However Wireless performance is dependent upon physical environment and distance from access point.

Touted as a home all-in-one for the photography enthusiast, the smart-navigation touch-panel and the crisp clear screen puts you in control for fast, easy operation.
This makes it possible to print from any room in your house or from any computer in your business set up.
Especially for home users small businesses this affordable all-in-one increases what you can do at home, and can help you conserve resources.

The all-in-one does not require technical know to set-up- as it comes with a quick and easy installation manual and you would find yourself printing within a few minutes.
Just sometimes when you are using it wirelessly it is a little bit slower but that also depends on your wireless network.
The control panel uses a column of seven flexible-strip buttons to switch the wireless transceiver on and off, to scan a document, to print quick forms and to cancel a current job. There are three soft buttons, linked to the LCD display, which take on different functions depending on the menu context.
The package comes with an easy to use interface that aids in monitoring print jobs and managing ink supplies, directly from the all-in-one printer. You can also use the HP Quick Forms button to get fun and useful templates—for calendars, games and more without a PC.

Additionally, there are indicators for both of the inkjet cartridges, one for errors, one to indicate wireless activity and one set into the circular power button, which pulses gently when the machine is in standby.

The 60-sheet paper tray feeds out to a chunky output tray at the front. This folds down and telescopes out to take printed pages. Inside the printer is a second pull-down cover, and behind this are the carriers for the two ink cartridges.

The only sockets at the back are for the low-voltage power cable from the small, block power supply and for a USB cable, in case you prefer this data connection or need to use it during wireless setup.

With global concern on e-waste, the HP Deskjet all-in-one is composed of 35 percent recycled plastics meaning its design was meant to reduce energy consumption and conserve resources.

HP internal research predicates that by 2012, the internet will be the biggest driver of printed pages, with 35 per cent of pages being printed from the web. This has necessitated perfection of seamless wireless printing to fit the changing technology landscape.

Wireless printing is already creating the crucial link between mobile business and document management, which is becoming a major concern for technology experts and managers.
