James Ratemo is an alumni of the International Institute of Journalism (Germany) and Commonwealth Press Union (UK). His background includes a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication and Media Technolgy (Electronic media Option) from Maseno University with a strong leaning on multimedia and online journalism. He is also currently pursuing a Masters in Arts (Communication studies- 2010-2012) at the University of Nairobi.
A progressive online editor, technology and business writer, his work revolves around how emerging technology interacts with business and the environment. He currently works for Nation Newspaper (www.nation.co.ke) after four years at the Standard newspaper (www.standardmedia.co.ke) in Kenya as a multimedia journalist and blogs on Technology in Kenya
He is also a poet and actor.
